Lawn fertilizer stains on stone patio

Lawn fertilizer stains on stone patio

Have your stone pavers ever been stained by orange residue from lawn fertilisers? I bet you’ve tried using a power jet-washer or scrubbing brush, but still couldn’t remove the stains! This happens a lot and we are often asked how to remove the stains from patio pavers.

The stains haven’t ruined the limestone pavers because it can be restored, but not with a jet-washer which would only blast away the softer particles of the stone leaving the tiles rough. There are two methods of removing this stain, through specialist chemicals, by sanding or a combination of these methods.
