Rubber flooring used to be made from a rubber tree, but today it’s composed of an anti-static co-polymer styrene, which is easy less susceptible to stains and has an easy maintenance cleaning programme.
Being a resilient material which lasts up to 20 years, it has been very popular as safety flooring in high traffic zones of commercial properties, but with ever increasing range in colours and patterns it is growing in popularity within the residential market. Examples are exercise rooms and playrooms, where sensitive little knees traverse the floor and messy spillages often occur.
Although easy to mop clean with a mild pH solution, it does tend to accumulate dirt in between the ridges of the safety buttons. Before you grab your toothbrush and attempt to clean it yourself, give us a call and we’ll have the rubber floor cleaning done for you in no time!
